The "Ideal Plant"

Plants inhale carbon dioxide from the air. Scientists at Salk Institute are developing plants that capture even more CO2. Planted on a large scale, they could help slow climate change. A recent study shows that the top two meters of the Earth's soil stores over three times as much carbon as the air, and could absorb even more.
